Conductor Connections

Hawai‘i-ACDA is fortunate to welcome many conductors who visit our islands to lead festivals, visit our major universities, and even for vacation! When possible, we program events for local musicians to observe clinics, enjoy meet-and-greets with our guests, and otherwise connect with conductors visiting from near and far. Below is a short list of conductors who've been guests in recent years.

  • Dr. Erin Colwitz, University of Alabama–Huntsville, Huntsville, Alamaba
  • Dr. Edith Copley, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona
  • Prof. Rodney Eichenberger, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida
  • Dr. Katherine FitzGibbon, Lewis & Clark College, Portland, Oregon
  • Dr. Pearl Shangkuan, Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • Prof. Romans Vanags, Latvian Academy of Music, Riga, Latvia
